Alongside the SS11 collection for Label Under Construction, designer Luca Laurini introduced a new project entitled Signals. The concept features various forms of writing, particularly in code, incorporated into garments. A jacket made of vintage table cloth fabric featured a quote by Nietzsche, whereas some garments had references of the construction written in Morse code, such as “corrosion” embroided on an acid washed knit. Other treatments included graphite dyeing and some of the details were laser cut, others embroided into the knit.
Signals will be available at a very limited number of retailers for spring 2011.

Designer Ria Dunn’s apparent focus is on handmade, relaxed, airy, organic garments; she uses noble fibers to create beautiful knitwear featuring hand-crocheted seams. So far the collections have featured solely womenswear, but it is likely that there will be men’s wear available soon. Read on for more lookbook pictures.
