by Anthony Bui & A.M.

Accessories can easily make an outfit or add a certain edge to it. The selection of men's accesories, especially jewelry, seems to be expanding constantly, which is why we're rounding up some of our favourite ranges and pieces.

The first part focuses on jewelry and watches, check back next month for picks in belts and sunglasses among others.

Maison Martin Margiela
Made of brushed sterling silver, this wide ring from Martin Margiela is very bold but at the same time very comfortable to wear due to being quite thin. It's adjustable, so it will fit different sized hands and fingers. Part of the line 11 accessories from the Belgian designer.

$155

Julius Cuff
While the text “I am bound to insanity” might be methaphorical (hopefully), you’re at least bound to a big piece of metal with this cuff from the Japanese label. Made of half copper, half zinc, the extravagant piece is available in black and silver.

$389 CAD from Komakino

Julius Nail Ring
Most likely taking influence from Carol Christian Poell, Julius made their version of a bent nail ring this spring. Some might consider it a bit pointless, others love it. we do, especially considering the price compared to the Poell one. Available in a black and silver finish.

¥7,140, from the Julius store in Tokyo and select retailers

Chronicles of Never
A neat set of engraved pendants in blackened silver from the Australian label, available in either a black or white powder coated finish. Both come in a signature long chain.

$242 AUD, from The Grand Social

Ugo Cacciatori
Made from cow hide and sterling silver, this bracelet by Italian jeweller Ugo Cacciatiori is definitely heavy duty. The Italian jeweller is known for some quite eccentric pieces, this one is perhaps a bit more toned down but still has quite a chunky look to it. Available in black and brown leather.

€225 available from yoox

APC
A subtle and sophisticated bracelet from APC, made of brass with an antique gold finish and a silver plated chain lock. Can’t go wrong with this one especially for the reasonable price.

70€, from apc.fr

Citizen x Koichiro Yamamoto
This super sleek watch from Citizen and designer Koichiro Yamamoto (who some bloggers managed to confuse with a trombone player..) combines digital and analog displays in a very clean way. The matte black finish is extended to the strap and even the buttons and knob, making the overall look very stealth.

¥29,400 JPY

M&Co
Designed by Tibor Kalman, the “10, One, 4” watch was the first in a series from design firm M&Co. Designed in the mid 80’s, the watch features 3 random hours on the dial, which paired with the black and white colour scheme creates a very minimal look. A very good pick for a lower price level watch.

$95, from projects-us

Stowa
Highly spoken for their quality movement and reasonable prices, Stowas have been said to be a very good choice for those looking for a well made and good looking automatic watch. The Antea model in particular has a very clean, classic look and comes in a few different setups, including the 390 model.

€590, from stowa.de
