Marvin creates a culture of community and enjoyment due to his leadership and teaching style. The students are incredibly welcoming and willing to assist in the class if needed. Really a great place in the heart of Long Beach.

The nervousness coming in as a new guy went away the minute I met Marvin. He, as well as all of the other guys in the gym, have been nothing but extremely helpful and welcoming. Cannot say enough good things about this gym. would recommend.

I come to visit family in long beach fairly often and I was so glad to find this gym. Marvin and his students were extremely welcoming. Having a black belt instructor like Marvin is great for any gym. Highly recommend this place

Marvin is an excellent instructor. He has been one of my training partners for years. As a fellow bjj black belt I can say that you wont find a more qualified instructor in the area who truly loves the art and cares for his students. I highly recommend training with him.

Marvin is a condescending jerk and a thief. Wants to charge an initiation fee but cant explain what the fee is for. Just because you have a black belt doesnt mean you can teach. He doesnt have empathy or patience to speak to a potential client asking questions. Go to another school where you and your money are respected
